Quand je lis - à propos de la demande d'ouverture à l'interopérabilité ^[1] d'Apple iTunes par les legislateurs français - cette argumentation :

The move may signify a willingness to question the patents, copyrights and trade secrets of other successful products as well, like electronics, pharmaceuticals, even fast food. Might we soon see a French legislator demanding to know if it is fair that customers of the French fast-food chain Quick cannot get its signature burger, Le Giant, with McDonald's special sauce?

Puis, un peu plus bas :

So why don't the French fear retaliation now? One reason may be that they have concluded France will never really compete. If the Internet will always have an American accent, why not go after it? Sometimes, the red flag of revolution is surprisingly hard to distinguish from the white flag of surrender. ... Sometimes the very people calling for revolution are the ones who end up losing their heads.

Et qu'en bas de l'article je lis ceci :

Austan Goolsbee is a professor of economics at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and a research fellow at the American Bar Foundation.

Je ne me pose plus tant de question que ça.

PS : J'ai mis ça dans la catégorie Rigolo car je ne dispose pas (encore) de catégorie Lamentable.

Edit : Pour ceux qui ratent mon commentaire d'explication, le voici :

Le truc c'est que comparer un format informatique à une sauce pour hamburger décridibilise à mes yeux d'emblée tout discours se voulant un tant soit peu crédible en économie.

Et puis un prof de fac incapable de réprimer ses marques d'affection envers une marque commerciale, et surtout enclin à tomber dans la caricature grotesque et méprisante d'un pays qu'il connait visiblement mal ne mérite - à mon sens - pas d'écrire une seule ligne dans le New York Times.

Bien sûr, je ne veux pas généraliser ce type d'opinion à l'ensemble de la population américaine, mais quand même. L'article - comme tout bon troll qui se respecte - est passé sur Digg, Reddit et j'en passe. Je voulais pas laisser passer ça sans réagir sur mon blog, voilà tout.

Atroce mais délicieusement cynique, le top 11 des morts les plus ridicules cette année vient d'être établi à partir des archives du FBI.

J'aime tout particulièrement celle-ci, digne du Darwin Award de platine toutes catégories confondues :

Megan Fry, 44 years old, is killed by 14 state troopers after she wandered onto a live firing, fake town, simulation. Seeing all the troopers walking slowly down the street Megan Fry had jumped out in front of them and yelled Boo! The troopers, thinking she was a pop up target, fired 67 shots between them, over 40 of them hitting the target. She just looked like a very real looking target, one of the troopers stated in his report.
